Young people in Milton Keynes have been offered the chance to make connections and gain advice on answering interview questions by Connexions:MK.
The group has offered young people across the region a number of activities designed at improving employability and gaining contacts to help push them into a career.
A speed-matching event which involved a series of three minute interviews between local employers and young people took place at the event.
Also, young people were offered the chance to attend a skills fair and a chance to attend 'Reaching Out', a seven week programme for young people not in employment, education or training.
Will Spurgeon, assistant director for integrated support and social care at Milton Keynes Council, said: "The activities provide an ideal opportunity for young people to find out what’s available, talk to people who can help, and develop skills that will help them to get into employment and in their future career."
Young people are currently faced with a particularly difficult economic climate which has seen national youth unemployment rise to unprecedented levels.
