We've spoken before about the importance of understanding social media to get yourself into a job.
The number of businesses using social media seems to grow each time we mention it – the latest figures, from Proskauer's International Labor & Employment Group, which looked at companies around the world, shows that over three-quarters are using social networking.
But it's still relatively new – as 70 per cent only started using it in the last three years – so as someone who understands social media and can see how it is beneficial to a business, here is your chance to shine.
Tim Gibbon, director at Elemental, pointed out that social media can help a business to reach customers across the globe, to create brand awareness and sell products and services more quickly than before.
"They can unify communications and marketing by creating seamless activity across all of their channels and can be a more measurable way to determine the success of their online communications if they select their metrics and manage their analysis efficiently."
Showing a potential employer how important social media could be for their business – and how you could help implement it - could land you that all-important job.
